Navigation Menu Alphabetization and Favorites Overview and FAQ

The Valant Navigation menu shows menu and submenu items alphabetically, as well as the ability to list favorite locations. 

Overview

Providing a straightforward alphabetical framework, Valant's Navigation Menu allows users to better familiarize themselves with the product and understand where new features will appear in the future. The below images are examples of the navigation structure and depend on the practice's subscription and user permissions.

Adding Favorites allows users to concentrate the areas of the product they access frequently into one section.

Click + Add Favorites to add and manage frequently accessed sections.

Click Add to select menu items and use the click and drag tool to arrange as desired. Click the X to remove an item from the Favorites List.

Click Save to update the list of Favorites.


FAQ

Can the menu go back to the way it was?

The updated alphabetical structure is not able to be reverted

Can favorites be shared with everyone in the whole practice?

Each user has a unique favorite list, not shared with others in the practice

Can specific favorites be created based on the permission by role?

Favorites are only configured on a user by user basis

How many favorites can users have?

The maximum number of favorites is 20

Can users reorganize / remove favorites?

Yes, they can change the order of their favorites list

What happens if a user selects a favorite, then loses that permission?

It is removed from their favorites list

How specific do favorites get?

A user can favorite any submenu link

Can you make certain calendar views favorites, or go to a certain insurance’s fee schedule section?

The link will go to the Scheduler | Calendar View page, or the Persons & Institutions | Insurance Companies page. Users will need to navigate to specific views or locations from the favorited submenu page.
