New Treatment Plan Overview

Valant’s Treatment Plan has been designed to help behavioral health practices create consistent clinical experiences and meet states' and payers' evolving clinical requirements.

Practices that have the Power (or higher) package and do not use the current Treatment Plan will automatically have the New Treatment Plan enabled.

Practices that use the current Treatment Plan will be assigned a migration date on which active, draft, and closed treatment plans will automatically migrate to the New Treatment Plan.

See Treatment Plan Types article for more information.

Multiple Treatment Plans Per Patient: Enhance Patient-Focused Care

The New Treatment Plan provides off-the-shelf and custom content for each Treatment Plan Type. There is a perfect fit for every patient scenario.

  • Valant Library: Access a wealth of common Problems, Goals, Objectives, and Interventions, ready to use.

More Details

Treatment plans are located in the patient chart. A new Treatment Plan section allows Valant users to create, edit, sign, update, and review the document directly in the patient chart.

In Mobile Notes, “Valant Treatment Plan” tab becomes “Treatment Plan Notes” tab.

  • The Treatment Plan Notes tab allows providers to view content from the active treatment plan.
  • Providers can indicate which treatment plan sections they addressed within the session, make comments and progress updates, and save changes to the clinical note and the treatment plan.

“Treatment Plan Tool” becomes “Treatment Plans” in the left navigation menu.

What Providers Can Do:

  • Access summary information about active and draft treatment plans for a patient.
  • Filter and sort treatment plans by relevant information (for example: upcoming review date)
    • Active and Draft plans are shown in Tools | Treatment Plans
    • Active, Draft, and Closed plans appear in the Patient Chart | Treatment Plan
  • Print treatment plans for hardcopy signatures, and help signers complete signing treatment plans.

What This Means:

  • The provider will be able to offer customized care like never before. Ensure that patient care is as personalized and effective as it can be by tailoring every aspect of the treatment plans.
  • The workflow is simpler. The New Treatment Plan will free up more time for patient care because the provider will be able to manage multiple plans and types with ease
  • Treatment plans themselves are enhanced. The provider will have a trove of content to enhance treatment plans with multiple libraries
