Get Ready for MYIO Integrated Telehealth

Exciting changes are coming to our mobile telehealth experience! In June, telehealth sessions will happen directly within the MYIO app for those using mobile devices, providing a more user-friendly and streamlined experience. Direct your patients to download MYIO today to avoid disruptions to your telehealth sessions.

By June 1, patients with telehealth appointments and using a mobile device for attending those sessions should have the MYIO app. We recommend making sure your patients have downloaded and logged in to the MYIO app before then. Here’s how.

What is changing with the MYIO integrated telehealth feature?

The main change is that joining telehealth sessions from a mobile device will now happen natively within the MYIO app instead of launching a browser. This will enhance the user experience on mobile devices.

Are there any additional improvements or fixes coming with the telehealth update?

These telehealth updates also include technical enhancements to address some intermittent performance issues, including the issue of seeing a black tile instead of the other user's video. Additionally, there will be better in-app guidance for troubleshooting common issues with audio and video devices.

Do telehealth attendees using a mobile device (patient or guest) need to have a MYIO portal login, or just have the app downloaded?

All patients and guests joining from a mobile device will need to download the app. A MYIO portal login is not needed if joining through a guest access link.

How will those on mobile devices with guest access codes join telehealth sessions?

Guests on mobile devices can join using a guest link, but they must have the MYIO app downloaded. They will not need to create an account or sign in; they simply need to download the app and click their guest access link.

What if a user is unable to download and successfully use the MYIO app?

If a patient or guest is unable to download and use MYIO, they will need to access the telehealth session by non-mobile device.

Will patients still be able to join telehealth sessions on mobile without the app?

No, with the upcoming update, mobile users will be required to join telehealth sessions through the MYIO app. Joining using a mobile browser will no longer be supported.

What is considered a mobile device?

A phone or tablet (such as an Apple iPad) that can connect to the internet.
